RJCStep Up For Down is a charity rock concert conceptualized and organised by a group of students from Raffles Junior College in collaboration with Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) to help raise funds for DSA as well as spread awareness of Down syndrome and DSA.

Step Up For Down aims to correct misconceptions about Down syndrome and persons with Down syndrome. Its young volunteer organisers hope to inspire their peers to step out of their comfort zones and step up their service to community; particularly for persons with Down syndrome.

Seeking to promote the local music scene as well, this event brings together several renowned local bands - Electrico, West Grand Boulevard, Caracal, Plain Sunset, Firefight and A Vacant Affair for an exhilarating night of entertainment. These bands are some of the best in the local music scene and each has a substantial following. On top of the performances by the bands, DSA’s Fusion Dance Group will also be performing their special salsa and hip-hop dance item.

Step up for down today! The concert will be held on 8th June 08, at the Singapore Polytechnic Convention Centre from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. Tickets are available at only $27, $30, $34, $36, $38, and $40. Please visit http://www.gatecrash.com.sg to get your tickets now!
