What Did You Say? A Guide to Speech Intelligibility in People with Down Syndrome

Dear Parents,

This DVD titled “What Did You Say? A Guide to Speech Intelligibility in People with Down Syndrome” is an informative film, featuring Dr. Libby Kumin, a known and respected speech-language pathologist (SLP) who looks at the importance of speech intelligibility for people with Down syndrome. Many children and adults with Down syndrome face the challenge of speech intelligibility or have speech difficulties.  This DVD presentation explains the various factors underlying speech intelligibility, as well as speech problems common in people with Down syndrome.  It also helps parents and caregivers better identify specific problem areas, thereby allowing them to have a clearer understanding of their child’s speech difficulties.
