Bowling Print E-mail

Bowling is considered as a sport for the entire family to play and enjoy. It is a lifetime fitness sport which contributes to balance, coordination and motor skills and is able to fill the needs of many as it is a simple game. The rules are not complicated and the basics of how to roll the ball could be learned through progressive practices. Thus, Bowling is an excellent recreational activity for all ages and ability levels.

Some of the benefits of bowling include fat burning, promoting good muscle tone and improving interpersonal social skills. It is basically an anaerobic exercise which actually promotes burning of fats and the swinging, twisting and walking motion promotes a great muscular exercise, thereby enhancing muscle tone and reflexes. When taking turns during each game, members learn to socialize with the group and cheer for each other to dismiss any atmosphere of disappointment. To conclude, bowling promotes a holistic approach towards individuals in terms of social skills, interpersonal relationships, team-playing and turn-taking, sportsmanship, patience, behavioral control and a great way to increase opportunities for a fun-filled bonding time. Mr. Tan Kim Joo, a veteran bowler, instructs and teaches members the basic techniques of bowling. He engages members according to their individual level and ability in which the members progress through constant practices.

Bowling activities are held Every Saturday 10.00am to 11.30am at SRC Club, Padang.
