Down syndrome is an intellectual disability that affects the developmental and intellectual growth of persons with Down syndrome.

Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) was started by parents who had children with Down syndrome. They came together to share information about the condition and supported one another.  Today, not only does Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) provide information to parents of children with Down syndrome, it also offers a host of services to children and adults with Down syndrome, their siblings and caregivers.
