Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese art of healing that simply uses the power of gentle touch to restore the body's inner harmony and balance. Taking care of oneself (self-help) is the core of the Jin Shin Jyutsu philosophy. Through maintaining our own vitality, health, and happiness, we are able to help others when assistance is needed. Jin Shin Jyutsu helps to provide health maintenance tools for children/adults with special needs, who require more attention and supervision. In addition, participants will learn self-help methods for harmonising the body and mind, which helps one to deal with physical and emotional fatigue, anxiety, depression and other disharmonies common to those who live and work with special-need individuals. Rejuvenate and revitalise yourself through the simple and profound Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu.
The session will be presented by Ms Tan Siew Kim, a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner, who is also a self help instructor who specialises in craniosacral therapy and lymph drainage therapy. Ms Tan is a trained staff nurse and mid-wife with Post Basic in Paediatric and Community Health Nursing. She was in the nursing line for 19 years but now spends all her time working and helping children with special needs using Jin Shin Jyutsu.
